Basically, 20-20 is that sort of cricket in which each team is allowed to play only for 20 overs( instead of 50 overs as in conventional one-days).
Now, everyone has to perform well in small span of time. That is everyone tries to give to give their best, and what comes out of this effort is a total entertainment, which audience and spectator enjoys.
What happens with earlier one-days or test matches is that due to their long innings, everyone gets bored, and excitements and enthusiasm is not maintained through out the session.
Whereas 20-20 is more output oriented. We get results within few hours. And today everyone wants results ultimately.
I have seen many people wasting their time in watching day-night matches and next day when they do not get result according to their will, they scold our team.
At least this does not happen with 20-20, due to its limited time constraints. Most of the time we get result. And also we can involve our self emotionally to the match. Since 20-20 is of limited time our players do not get much tired and they get ample time to relax and rest. By virtue of this, we can have more cricket seasons to see, instead of one or two in a year.
As we have transited from test matches to one days, there is no doubt that 20-20 is going to take place of one days, too. As it is more output oriented every body enjoys watching it. I mean, even I would definitely support it, because I have seen my brother sometimes watching matches in night, with low volume sound and next day he feels sleepy.
So, definitely 20-20 is a better option than others.
Following are the points in support of 20-20.
- It gets overed in limited numbers of overs, so saves time.
- It involves lots of energy and enthusiasm than test matches and one-days.
- Our players get ample amount of time to rest and relax, so they do not get tired or injured frequently.
- We get more cricket during the season, so more entertainment.
- Test matches are boring, and today no one wants to see boring games.
So, ultimately we can say 20-20 is the better option than one-days or test matches.
